That trailer is too heavy for that SUV. If they had to swerve to hit a deer in traffic or something, that entire rig could roll over. The dogs in the cage might survive but that one wouldn't.

I also sincerely believe the dog on top hates riding at all, and probably gets into fights with the other dogs, so he's up there for convenience.

On top of a cage on a trailer is not in a pickup truck bed, and the implication that it is the same thing by animal control is maddening.

I guess it's not that unsafe (proximity to workstations) since it's tethered to the ceiling. They would have to make a serious "back cage" before they un-tether this model - if it fell down it would destroy all those control boards on its back. Also would have to beef up safety in the drivers cockpit (not that I'd ever sign up to be a beta mech driver)

Kind of. When I installed the roll cage I had to pull the pedal out, and I never built the hand lever I intended. It's never been a problem. I don't have a clutch switch either, and 7.5-1 first gear, so I can start in gear if I have to, even on a hill.

I think this franchise seriously overestimates its own importance.

So, I'm thinking the moral of the story is that shark cages need to be tested to a higher standard. They're designed to withstand the impact of a shark, but not a shark using it's several thousand pounds of muscles to pry the bars apart, though that's probably impossible to achieve and still have a useable shark cage.

So to be clear, this shark enters the cage from the side, right. So this shark just wrestles itself through the bars towards its prey in the cage. Back to bungee jumping for me....
