Nice! Any update on film festivals and such?

And I know what you mean about the quality difference in the footage... I have a friend who just shot a feature on the Red, and as we were shooting we were looking at the full resolution footage on a nice big HD monitor, and it looked absolutely stunning. But now I'm working with crappy little proxies in Final Cut (the director had the misfortune to select me as his editor , and it barely looks better than DV. Well, okay, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but the quality difference is pretty huge.

I'm interested in this. Blank, is there a link to some original blog or sift talk where you talk about the project so I can catch up?

I never work 1:1 in editing, even though I would love to. Its always so maddening to know you are not working with what you REALLY have, quality-wise. Anyhow... good luck.

Yes, I hope to post all of my pitfalls during this whole process so you filmmakers can learn from my mistakes. It's so easy to make major mistakes early on, so hopefully my insight will help. I know I've suffered a lot because of misinformation.

For those of you who are bored... here's a booty clap:

Sorry, griefer, forgot to reply to this one. Even when you work 1:1 in Avid, if you're using HD it really cannot visually reproduce the quality. You have to wait to see it on something that can properly reproduce the quality. For an HD deck, it takes a lot of power to play back 60 frames at high res, and my Avid system isn't strong enough to do that so it reduces the image.

We did have a blog and a site for a while, but recently we changed the movie title so all that changed.
