I like Ron Paul.

But realistically he is a token candidate now not having placed in any high positions in the races so far, the GOP picked Mitt Romney is failing fast as well as his campaign tried to push him through Bush tactics instead of simply capitalizing on his business credentials. As a whole the party is unwilling to take up McCain as a probable candidate at the moment, but will do eventually, the GOP simply doesnt like being told what to do. But McCain is the most probable candidate that will have some fighting chance against a democratic opponent.

Good on you for taking action though MarineGunRock. Though I gotta ask, what about Ron Paul appeals to you?

I love his ideas for returning power to the state governments - that's how this country was founded.

Even if I didn't like a single thing the guy said, I still would vote for him, because he's the only candidate that has a proven track record of never increasing taxes, and he's honest. Yeah, I know - crazy right? A politician that's honest? Well, everything he says now, he's said before, and has yet to reverse himself.

Nearly gave me a heart attack when I saw the Huckabee sign. I hope Mike drops out before Ron does. I think it will bring him closer to the forefront and give him more media attention since McCain and Romney seem to be leading the pack right now.

I've always wondered about signs for political candidates. What are they supposed to be for, really? I mean, is anybody basing their decision on who to vote for on the number of signs that a candidate has? Or are there undecided people who see a sign and think "I like that guy's name!" and then vote based on that?

It's really for the undecided people - and people may simply see the name "Ron Paul" and wonder who it is, look him up, like what they see, and vote for him.

Also, After three hours at the call center calling people tonight and 70 or so signs put up around town, I think I've my my good deed for the day.

P.S. - I got some Ron Paul DVDs which I will watch, and if I like it I'll upload it for someone to post.

then they take 2 minutes, to look up anything about him, from a reliable source, and no one says that word anymore.

that one Paul clip i posted? my buddy watched, and contributed hundreds of dollars. despite the same mortgage woes, etc, that any guy with a happy wife and 3 happy kids would have.
so, yeah. if i can't have my political dream team of Kucinich-Paul, it'd be Obama.

but only because, very unfortunately, the gop looks to be going with McCain, now. who i could've voted for, in 2000, and think we'd be better off if we had.

Why Ron Paul? Because hes a strict Constitutionalist. Just for shits and giggle I did a little research today on how many people could be looking at the ax at work if Ron Paul does eliminate some of the unconstitutional departments. While at the OPM website (Office of Personnel Management) I came across their budget. Just that office, the OPM, has a budget of over 230 MILLION dollars annually? WTF is that about. All the OPM does is the same thing that every agency they "oversee" already does with their organic personnel offices. Thats just one part that no one ever thinks about. This office does not do a single thing for the American people. Ron Paul is all about cutting out the fat such as this. And thats fine by me.
