the middle east: it's not a crisis, it's an opportunity

an amazing performance. british-level irony.

he's entirely natural. he's not doing a newscaster parody, like colbert or the other daily show reporters. so it's harder to tell if he's joking.

also notice that his target is not the media, or the president, but americans in general. very tough.

looks like a dead viddy repaired with the wrong embed

repair belongs to the original sumbmittah...

gonna return it and send plastiquemonkey a note

don't know why they changed the embed. it was on myspace, but must have been pulled. now it's dead for me.

luckily, comedy central is finally putting older clips up...

so it's fixed now.

this is still completely brilliant...

i didn't see it noted anywhere else on the page, so i thought i'd chime in.

this is Aasif Mandvi's debut on the show.
he was already this damn good at it. solid actor. i had recognized him from 'Spider-man 2' and 'The Siege' when this aired.

also, if you could include the term i searched for, when looking for it (to see whether or not i could possibly hope to shnag this gem) ...

... the title of the segment is "Forced Perspective".

This video and Aasif Mandvi are pure genius. *promote one of the best pieces of Daily Show ever (also, I just realized fixing & then promoting stuff is quite gratifying ).
