Not everything that happens in the world needs to exemplify a political dichotomy. For instance, Choggie, nothing in your post remotely relates to what occurs in the 911 call, except for the presence of guns.

This guy was bloodthirsty and was rationalizing his desire to shoot people as "protecting himself". He is obviously in no personal danger and I hope he gets jail time.

And, for the record, I am someone who is perfectly fine with the idea of folks keeping guns to protect their homes. It's just that this guy was perfectly safe in his home which was not being threatened, and he used his gun outdoors in public to shoot a man in the back. Fuck that.

Heh... not to be a jerk, but BillO's right. Ulrich is generally considered -- even by his own bandmates -- to be one of the lamest drummers in metal. Four years is plenty of time for a drummer to get this good.

I don't smoke much myself, but I'm an American idealist and I still believe that people have every right in the world to defy laws that are unreasonable. And I can't see how anyone could disagree that our pot laws are unreasonable. (I'm not going to go into how much less dangerous pot is than alcohol, Xanax, etc. You've heard all those arguments already.)

I'd feel a lot better if this was a 250-word editorial with scholarly resources, which happened to contain the word "fuck" a bunch of times. As it is, this "article" is completely worthless to anyone except for the kid who got to be on the news because of it.
