How did they get all those separate shots?


I was thinking about that. I theorise helicopter + timeshifting some of the zoom sequences to give that dramatic fast zoom effect, and people already in place on the mountain, dropped off by the chopper. Pretty easy for a cameraman to hide out of shot near the summit, for example to run up and capture the moment when he checked his watch.

Anyone know if he went down the same way? I think it's kind of stupid to think of a trip up a mountain only as the time to get up there, you have to get down as well. A speed run, or any kind of timed run should be both up and down.
