Skier Falls Into Crevasse In Swiss Alps

Go-Pro footage of a man skiing on a glacier in the Swiss Alps falling through a thin layer covering a deep crevasse, then falling deeper. His friends didn't notice him fall, but their guide did, and eventually came to the rescue.

He stayed cool as ice under pressure. Given the depth of the danger, it's amazing he didn't cave. He must have had some good training, because he didn't crack.

He shouldn't buy any lottery tickets for the next year or so. He used all his luck up. Those crevasses can go straight to the ground, 100s of feet below the surface.

That's got to be one of my biggest fears. Falling into shit like that you can't even see. I fell into a quicksand type crevasse up to my waist while fishing from a sandbar several years ago and it's been a phobia ever since.
