Yeah it looked like the suspect put his hands on the cop as if to say "Hey take it easy, I'm still a human being here", and while I have no idea of what crime he was guilty of committing, if any, the reaction was obviously way beyond necessary.

looked like the criminal tried to say" yo dude! dont get so close!" then all hell brakes loose. i hate it when the cop turns into the bad guy. it makes no sense that a cop wuld do that. guess he jst thought a cop can do what ever he wants. think again. i wuld bet that that cop was a greenhorn.(that wulda been ironic if he was on Americas Most Wanted.)

Watching it with as objective an eye as I could, I saw the suspect reach his hand toward the midsection of the cop, perhaps even toward his bat-utility belt and that's when the fisticuffs ensued.

The cops had uncuffed him in the elevator instead of when they got someplace secure, and then provoked him by getting in his face. The guy brought his hands up a bit, and then they attacked him. They *wanted* an excuse to beat him up. Beating up a guy in handcuffs looks more suspicious.

Fortunately these cops appear to be getting in trouble for this. Maybe if more cops who abuse their positions got kicked out and thrown in jail, the good cops who are just doing their job won't find so many distrusting them.

I might rather get beat than tasered. After chocking the guy for not stand in on a spot, Officer Friendly decides to taser the guy. MooOOoOoo human cattle.

There is no apparent reason to remove Handcuffs from a suspect en route to custody unless new information comes to light and they are de-arrested...

Seemed to be no reason for the Cops on this video to remove the cuffs and I'm certain there use of fists is not an approved technique or reasonable force...

I wondered what grounds they had to remove the cuffs...
