Given the casting, I'm guessing they stay away from the whole "Tony Stark alcoholism" story line. Still, looks pretty damn good.

I dont know about that bellman, did you see who is casted as Iron man? None other than Robert Downey Jr. Mr. Alcohol & druggie himself. And you can see him drinking repeatly in the trailer. Unless you were being sarcastic, then I would feel dumb!

I've now seen Jon Favreau talk about the movie twice (Comic-Con 2007, and Wondercon 2008). Seeing just how excited he is, and the enthusiasm he puts into everything he says about it gives me hope that it'll be great. Not to mention all the great footage he's shown us at the cons. It's going to be awesome, and a big part of that has to do with his passion, and how he tries to stick with practical effects before resorting to CGI. Plus, the fact that Stan Winston is involved and all of the CGI is based on something physical that Stan and his team built before hand just makes the CGI have that extra polish that is sadly lacking in many films.

Anyway, enough rant. Go find as much as you can about it, I'm sure the Comic-Con and Wondercon talks are up on Youtube, plus all of the other interviews out there.

The detail just blew me away. The pictures don't really do it justice.

Looks awesome. Was anyone else thinking "I saw that in the Starcraft II trailer" when the machine was building the armor around him? It even ends with the headlight at the end as with the jumpjet on the space marine. Must have gone to the same cinematics class

Could it be possible that Hollywood didn't screw up a comic book movie?

And here I've been wondering "Can they actually turn Iron Man into an entertaining story and character?"

They've been doing fairly well with comic movies in the last few years. Spider-man and X-Men both had great 1st and 2nd movies followed by 3rds that paled in comparison, but weren't bad. The Punisher was well done. 300 was well done. Batman Begins was excellent. V for Vendetta was excellent. Sin City was pretty good.

On the flip side you've got Hulk, Superman Returns, Elektra, Ghost Rider and the Fantastic Four movies. But then the Hulk, Superman, Elektra, Ghost Rider and the Fantastic Four are some of the lamest comic properties around, so it should be expected that the movies would suck.

Then there's Daredevil. Daredevil could have been good but was poorly done and poorly cast. Whether you like Ben or not, he's not DD.

Cool!

Also, is there a way to watch it in an even SMALLER format with an even CRAPPIER codec? Granted that watching a movie like this on this crappy way is pretty close to the worst...I believe we can get it even shittier than we see here.

Forget high-res, 1080p trailers....we need it crappy like this! Good job!

I never cared for ironman, and from the first trailer I thought robert was probably one of the worst choices for a super hero. But now that I see more of him in the 2nd trailer, I can say this definetly looks awesome. May be one of the first movie I goto see in the theaters in years.

RE: Music.. Iron man was Sabbath, not AC/DC, and the rest of the music is by a band that has already disbanded (audioslave - chris cornell left, apparently didn't bother to inform his band mates, so they re-formed into Rage against the machine).

Correct though that it rocks
