Yes that makes sense, but you're implying that they are trampling the constitution, they aren't. They are working on making laws, which is their job, and the laws that I have seen are not counter to the constitution. Fox doesn't point that out, it's simply propaganda.

The Constitution is about personal freedom and responsibility. When the gov't takes your private property and gives it to another person, that interferes with my pursuit of happiness. The gov't has gone so far beyond it's mandate...which is why we are $16 trillion in debt, why $4.4 billion goes to farm fraud, why $500M goes to an electric energy company which fails...etc ad infinitum. You people who think gov't is the solution, don't forget that it was the gov't that almost eradicated the Native Americans, who locked up Japanese-Americans during WWII, etc. I waste my breath, you think the purpose of gov't is to make everything equal. Good luck with that.

Here's the thing about that. The Constitution is not a divine document. Or do you think the thirteenth amendment "trampled" the 3/5ths compromise portion of the constitution?

Or do you just not know what the definition of an amendment is?

The Constitution is a fabulous document. but quit putting it on a pedestal. As time passes and as life inevitably changes. The Constitution will inevitably become more and more irrelevant and require more amendments and eventually be thrown out and a new document put into place. That's just the nature of time passing and people changing.

Or do you honestly think the United States as we know it will still exist 1000, 2000, or even 5000 years from now? And even if it does, do you honestly think the Constitution will still look the same?

Worth noting that the US created the Muslim threat by deliberately arming and radicalizing the Afghani Taliban in order to give the Russians 'their own Vietnam'? Bin laden & 911 come directly from there and so the current iteration of the Red threat (Brown threat) is a direct construction of previous US governments which included the senior management of Fox news..

All this noise about the constitution is like a madman stood over a pile of murdered bodies refusing to give up his gun because he is terribly afraid people now want to shoot him. So he kills more out of fear. And Fletch is right and can join the Fremen.

Can't argue with anything you said, except I don't believe there is an equivalency to FOX of all network news, although I think the success of FOX has definitely encouraged the downward spiral of non-FOX networks as they try to keep up.

The truth is out there, although it's increasingly difficult to discern from within this 3000-mile-wide bubble, and people can be easily waylaid by false narratives. I don't think our elected officials and Washington "insiders" even fully grasp the big picture. That gives lots of breathing room for dispair and paranoia, as well as conspiracy theorists who see clandestine machinations in everything. There absolutely is treachery afoot, but that doesn't mean every terrorist attack or shooting rampage is a government plot.
