therealblankmansays...So this is like the Disneyland Vietnam War ride?
Pretty macabre.
aurenssays..."Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds."
Carl Sagan, Pale Blue Dot
Sarzysays...Feels like the first five minutes of a found footage horror movie in which a group of tourists are stalked in the jungle by a family of crazy Vietnamese who are obsessed with the war. Of course, all those traps would actually be in action in the rest of the film.
I think I need to make that movie.
steroidgsays...I must say that it never ceases to amaze me how creative human are to come up with ideas to cause harm and misery.
radxsays...*promote the ingenuity of guerilla warfare

There already is one I'm sure, it's only offered to Russian tourists though.

And there we were spending millions of dollars on tanks and shit...

SlipperyPetesays...This is in Cu Chi, Vietnam. I visited this museum several years back... one thing this video doesn't show is the underground tunnels that you can crawl through. Viet Cong soldiers constructed encampments underground, capable of supporting 100's of soldiers for weeks at a time, linked together by shoulder-width tunnels.
Oxen_Moralesays...OK, I get your point

And I reconstructed it in Minecraft!

ShakaUVMsays...Disgusting how many people on this page are rooting against their own country.
And before you get off on how "evil" we are, have you idiots ever thought about the hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese people were sent to re-education camps after we sold them out? Or do you just get all of your oxygen from Chomsky and idiots like him?
Try whitewashing the bloodstains out all you want, but calling us "evil" in comparison to the North Vietnamese is just a statement of profound ignorance.
aurenssays...Condemning brutality—and, by extension, a seemingly endless list of military interventions motivated by a warped sense of self-interest—hardly constitutes "rooting against" one's own country. To me, the ones doing the greater harm are those who fail to criticize the aspects of the United States' foreign policy that have been, and remain, undeniably disastrous.>> ^ShakaUVM:
