When I read "tricking" I automatically thought advanced feints - how wrong I was. It's really just gymnastics with an occasional kick.

In any sort of fighting martial arts, flips, which inherently turn you upside down with your back to your opponent, equals a fast lesson in how hard the floor is.

It's entirely possible that some of these guys actually are martial artists (most likely TKD), but what's on show here is not martial arts.

It's gymnastics, maybe movie stunt fighting at best, but calling it "martial arts" is a stretch too far.

Still pretty impressive though.

Maybe I'm jaded, but most if it was rather blase.

I did, however, really like the "hu-kike-chuk-whirl-chuk" spinning kick moves they started doing after 2:30.

Yeah, if you check the wikipedia article linked above, it describes Tricking as "a type of acrobatics derived from martial arts such as sport karate incorporating techniques found in gymnastics, break dancing, and similar disciplines."

So even the (semi) official description acknowledges that it's more acrobatics than martial arts.

ROFL, I don't think they're doing that to "trick" their opponents... They're just doing acrobatics mixed with martial arts (freestyle tricks).

Take it from me, parents just don't understand.

Who are they tricking?? They are not tricking anyone let alone their opponents... I think they are just trying to impress all their potential girlfriends...

Some great athletic moves here, and good tricks overall, but as far as a usual martial arts, it is hard to tell if any of them could hit their mark. Their attack directions and locations seems to be completely random and %50 of the landings failed and the person simply improvised by rolling into another move. I would be far more impressed if they had set up targets.
