AWWWWWWWESOME!!!
Wow. East Coast Rap rules!
I just posted about this on Wonkette last week.
Ishkur started this around 96, and it's still to this day the best resource I know of to give out to all the clueless retards who have no idea about any of this "music" stuff.
Mostly, I'm sick of all these MySpace kids using the word "electro" to describe any type of music, other than "electro".
Sounds like a bunch of gay electronic techno crap to me. [/old timer's voice]
Yeah I heard this back around 1997, but come on Ishkur still no Ricardo Villalobos or Richie Hawtin under Minimal techno?
This was how I fell in love with Detroit techno, I heard Jeff Mill's the bells on this and a few years later I saw Jeff Mills playing at Aria in Montreal
PS: I hardly understand or use musical labels
I find it very amusing that the guy keeps putting down any type of electronic music that has a melody at its heart. I like how he appreciates timing, tension buildup and release, and dynamics, but he doesn't seem to understand that at its heart, music is about melody and harmony.
Poor guy.
Very, very good. I'll be forwarding this link to my mates. I love electronica
