Zero Punctuation Review: Review

Nathan Smart reviews Zero Punctuation's review of Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles.

Funny? Barely. Scathing? Nope. Worth two minutes of your time? Certainly not. I only want your upvote if you're getting tired of Z.P. reviews cluttering the top 15.

Sorry, but I'm not getting tired of Yahtzee's reviews. He's NOT a hater in the classical sense, i.e., he EXPLAINS well why he doesn't like something, and quite cleverly at that. And because this video is too derivative of a true original, I cannot upvote it. Sorry.

No Problem Mr. Chips. I thought it wasn't any good. As in the douchebag making it sucked at what he was doing and all together wasn't that creative. Besides, if he doesn't like ZPR, then A) why does he model his review after that, and B) Don'tfuckignwatchthem.

Sorry, I just couldn't wait for it to get published (which I'm sure it will) before the downvote.

The reason why we love the zero punctuation reviews is the comedy and the randomness of the review, but after watching a minute, it was still showing off a segway and a man who thinks he is funny but really isn't...

I'm with my friend arsenault on this one...

Downvote (if I could) Sorry but, if he wants to whine about "haters" thats all good, but ZP is not hating as such, just trying to remove all the glitz and fuzz and show you exactly what his opinion of said game is...

Sometimes he is overly vicious, but just damned funny so its ok LOL but honestly, if you dont like, dont watch, and there is nothing smart about fast talking, only when it's charming (or offensive) and clever.

Carry on...

With only six hours left to vote it looks like ZP fans have come out on top. Thanks all for taking part.

I believe in supporting lesser known material with our submissions and our votes. I came to the Sift for variety, and I hope that it will continue to be an outstanding source for unique videos. I'll mention again that ZP reviews are fine by me, but that we all have to be watchful as the site grows to not let it become another Digg.

Thylansays...

/\ I agree, but it can also provide news/cultural commentary and many other things. whilst not loosing site of its fundamental principle, that of sifting vids. I dont dislike the idea of parodying/ranting against ZP, but doing it badly doesn't make the attempt quality. this was annoying and uninteresting. to me.

Damn yahtzee cluttering the top 15 with consistantly funny, original material week in week out, whilst also bringing us the most trustable and reliable game reviews we've ever had (imo)!

He's a total asshole!

NeuralNoisesays...

I wish I had downvoting power so I could exercise it here. If this guy was being serious about his review he would be a complete retard, but he is not being serious, which makes him merely un-talented and boring.

enemycombatantsays...

This was just as entertaining as the material it parodies (which I also happen to enjoy). Both are formulaic and largely filled with ignorant, though sometimes accurate, diatribes (except this video wins points for admitting to its ignorance). Simply proffering an opinion contrary to that of the unwashed masses doesn't automatically confer accuracy.

My awakening, for the record, came when Yahtzee implied Tom Morello was a musician of little importance. Once I'd seen behind the curtain, it wasn't hard to see how vapid the character he presents actually is.

Zonbiesays...

nah - sorry I like Yahtzee for his comedy and his blatant disreguard for "the majority opinion" This guy is just attacking for the sake - I dont think one video review a week is much and - they make me laugh and they tell truths most dont bother to mutter..

So I like ZP
