It was almost a head on with the oncoming truck. It looked like it was going to swerve to the shoulder at the same time as the car before the driver decided against it.
So it could have been much, much worse...

It's almost like one of those awkward moments in the hallway where you and another person keep moving in the same direction in an attempt to got out of the others way, only at 80 mph.

Poor judgement like this should result in people being banned from driving. Get them on a bus or other public transportation and stop endangering others.

I don't know where this video was taken, but in many developing countries, cars for the middle class are a a pretty new thing and there are tons of new drivers on the roads who don't know wtf they are doing. (Hence Russian dash cams). This looks like the driver just failed to understand how fast oncoming traffic is at highway speeds, possibly from lack of experience.
