siftbotsays...Promoting this video and sending it back into the queue for one more try; last queued Friday, November 15th, 2013 6:24am PST - promote requested by Mordhaus.
charliemsays...Damn hes quick...
articiansays...Not that you would use boxing techniques in a streetfight, but even more importantly, this guy's "boxing" is terrible. You don't throw a punch and leave your arm hanging out there. I don't care if it's for the sake of explanation, it's misrepresentation of the form. A punch immediately comes back into guard position. Always leaving one glove in place, and the guard should never be dropped. This example is so full of error it's worthless.
That aside, if someone is "boxing" in a street fight, no gloves means injured hands, and several swift kicks will quickly expose the gap in their armor.
chicchoreasays......nun such....
...solid technique,...demeanor, well....
spawnflaggersays...I love this guys Chinese-Cockney accent.
Stormsingersays...This is what I truly dislike about what martial arts have become. No more is it about self defense or mind/body balance, now it's just more macho bullshit.
"I'll fuck you up." Blech.
ChaosEnginesays...Agreed, this guys attitude is terrible.
Fact is, boxers generally ARE difficult to deal with. They're generally fit, and more importantly they can usually take a hit far better than a lot of other martial artists.
Which is why humility is important. Even in a dojo, you don't necessarily know the life experience of your opponent. They might have just walked in the door and be a complete noob in your art, but they may have also trained for years in another discipline. Courtesy and respect go a long way.

Jerykksays...Somehow I don't think this technique would actually work in a real fight. In a real fight, your opponent will likely just plow into you, not stand at a convenient distance and throw conveniently timed punches.
Draxsays...This vid's long, but the guy comes up with an actual solution to being attacked by a boxer. He even admits that a wing chun fighter is in trouble when going up against a boxer.

TangledThornssays...I'll stick with Rex Kwan Do thank you very much.
Deanosays...I love the fact every instructional/educational fight video I've seen always gets picked apart in the comments. I've become to believe it's impossible to make one that could carry the day.
Anyway, look, I seriously want this guy's voice as my virtual PA on my phone. We need to make it happen.
Deanosays...Interesting that the comments are now disabled on that one.

sadiciousjokingly says...Strange that you never see boxing in MMA be countered in such a way. He just taught everybody who viewed this video how to take on any boxer.
poolcleanersays...What does he mean by "difs is da fing"?
xxovercastxxsays...I've seen some "Master" Wong videos before and assumed he was parody but, now that I've seen his website, I can confidently say he's a fraud.
Every technique demonstrated in this video is completely counter to the fundamentals of Wing Chun. Wing Chun was designed for people who are at a size and strength disadvantage, thus it's core tenet is never compromising your defense. For this reason, you never twist past centerline (and even then only when very advanced) and you rarely break contact with your opponent's arms/hands once established.
Any competent boxer or Wing Chun practitioner would break this guy down with little trouble if this is really what he's practicing.
