Reminds me of getting my wisdom teeth taken out. I time-traveled a bit, and finally really woke up late in the evening on the living room couch with a magazine on my chest. Apparently I had been taken to the grocery store, watched some tv at home, looked at magazines for a while, all this stuff while still wasted on anesthetic.

The fun part is that you may have been relatively lucid during some of that period, and simply experienced the anterograde amnesia that's a (desirable) side-effect of the sedative. So you were awake doing stuff, but just weren't forming memories of those actions.
