MikesHL13says...He took that well
Winstonfield_Pennypackersays...I was walking through the room when this guy was on this question. I watched for a second as he was ruminating and told my wife, "If he doesn't walk away right now with $500,000 then he's a total moron."
Total moron.
You could see his sense of self-assurance evaporate in a 0.5 second span of time. The look on his face was almost like he was BEGGING Regis to say, "Ok - you can have the $500,000 anyway..." I really don't get why people take these kinds of chances. If someone gave me the choice of walking out a door with $500,000 but offered me a 25% chance of getting a million then I'd laugh in thier face, take the 500 large and never have a second thought that I'd done the smart thing.
demon_ixsays...Leaving the audience for the last question wasn't very clever, as well
southblvdsays...I watched this the other night. That guy was a DEWSH. I'm so glad Regis stuck it to him.
"It's not the final answer and you just lost a lot of money."
BURNBURNBURNBURN
Winstonfield_Pennypackersays...Yeah - the 'ask audience' question really is best when it is confined to questions that are general knowledge. The Fresca thing was very specific to Presidential/US history, and asking the general public that kind of question is not going to produce a reliable result. People who use the audience for the last 5 questions are usually making a mistake. Use that puppy in questions 1-7 if you need it.
But above all - if you're not 100% certain then DON'T GUESS! Take what you've got and run.
videosiftbannedmesays...Can't stand this show because nobody can just answer the question and move on. We get to hear their whole life story from DNA up to yesterday as they try to answer a simple question. And a multiple choice question at that! (rolls eyes)
antsays...He took the risk. Should had taken the money. Great ending for Regis' version when Regis had to answer the question!
chilaxesays...Maybe in business school he would have gained a more reliable sense of risk management.
He knew he was going to be on the show... How could he have not thought through what to do in this kind of situation?
Trancecoachsays...And to think that was a mere chai walla..
no wait.. he's an entertainment lawyer.
dude got what he deserved.
burdturglersays...
HenningKOsays...Ouch. I'm the only one who feels sorry for this dude, huh?
Okay I didn't see the rest of his appearance and I would not have done what he did, but hey, he saw a chance for epic winnination and felt like he had to take it. Epic fail is the breaks.
Croccydilesays...I'm scared that I knew the answer before they even showed the 4 available ones. Don't ask me how I know this stuff.
