An eye opening documentary revealing how evil and messed up evangelical Christians are. filmmakers Kate Davis, David Heilbroner and Franco Sacchi explore the lives of evangelical Christians who believe that Armageddon is imminent and that Israel will be the site of Jesus's second coming. The film follows evangelical nut jobs as they prepare for the apocalypse and examines how their beliefs and craving for destruction have influenced the U.S. government's relationships with Israel and Muslim majority countries.

"If the bible wasn't true, I don't think we'd even be creating Jet engines"
- WTF. Where does that correlation come from?

If you count the letters of the word "bible", what do you get?
5, correct.
Now multiply this by 2 and you get 10.
What has 10 letters too?
"Jet engines", exactly!
You see? How could this be the case if the bible wasn't true?

In fact, to further comment:
I wonder how much sooner we would have come up with our technological advancements if religion was not there to limit and persecute science as witchcraft for hundreds of years.

my favorite was the Left Behind series by Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins... Great fucking series!

If things start happening like is in Left Behind series and some singular person gets israel and palestine to sign a peace treaty, then I will believe 100% that shit is about to hit the fan and prophecy will be fulfilled, since israel and palestine 7 year peace treaty is supposed to be the first act of the antichrist since the antichrist comes as the perfect peace and globalization politician and unites the world in peace... but that peace only supposed to last 3 and half years before christian persecution begins.

course agnostic, but one of the signs have already started since the 90's atheists openly attacking, belittling and hating christians more and more is a sign and 1948 israel becoming a nation is the first. Which is why lot believe IF things follow a path, then 1948 is what kicked things off.

But regardless it is very interesting times, if we don't kill ourselves first or rise up and slay our politicians we'll soon be in full blown persecution of a police state.

hell right now places like Sweden and Iceland enjoy way more freedoms than USA does, USA has lost it's freedom, political correctness has ruined USA

Why would you believe that? Just because someone writes down a sequence of unlikely events doesn't mean that if one of them happens then they'll all happen.

Oh, Jebus! Rapture is such a bummer! I just want to get married and have kids before.
These people are so delusional, I don't think they even understand what is preached to them since cradle. They just "believe" it because someone with authority told them is true. Everyone's nodding in front of the preacher so they should do it too. No rational behind it, but would be so sad to leave this life unfulfilled ... and live up there in the clouds with jebus, that would be boring, now that's a rational.

[edit: added some further comments, because this is too juicy]
And there's the "converted has been atheist" at the beginning made me giggle as well. I don't think he ever was one and even if he ever was one, I believe he converted for the vgeegee, which in his case is a very strong argument. So they'll spawn some kids that will learn from their father to shut the fuck up if there's anything to gain. Al in all just the right thing for the future of this world.

I didn't even watched the whole thing, 12mins into it.

Ladies and gentlemen of the world, I present to you the effective voting public that influences world events more so than any other group of people.

You're welcome.

I know a lot of Christians and none of them are like the people in this video.

All the Christians I know are pretty nice, decent people, they believe in helping their fellow man, they are empathetic and as normal as anyone else.

Actually, they are better people because they don't go beating their wives, driving drunk, doing drugs, etc. for the most part.

But if you like your bugaboos to be church-going people, so be it.

I know a lot of christians too. Without a doubt most (not all) are nice people. However, their belief in talking snakes, noah, and armageddon and the like is freakish. I don't blame them in the least, as they were indoctrinated into this crazy belief system as children. Not like they had any choice in the matter. It was purely geographic. If they had been born somewhere else, such as afghanistan, they'd likely have been muslim.

I just want like a date...not a firm one but one like "Within the next few years...10 years...25 years." Just a time when after that time passes we can shut up about this and get on with our lives. I'm fine if you guys want to believe in Amageddon, but you can't say it's "The End Times" and that shit never comes.

At least the fucking Mayan Calendar jackasses aren't this annoying...they have a firm date and when that passes they can shut the fuck up.

"israel and palestine 7 year peace treaty is supposed to be the first act of the antichrist"
?? So this means religion believes that anyone who tries to make peace is evil?

These people need to get their priorities straight.
