Transformers, more than meets the eye

A brand new trailer for the upcoming Transformers movie.

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag.(show it anyway)

Suspension of disbelief doesn't allow me to go quite this far. I'll give this one a miss. If you want to see a decent SF flick, go see Sunshine instead.

Also Transformers Director Michael Bay gave us the vacuous excuse for product placement "The Island" run, don't walk from this film.

You must have missed the transforming sound during the scene when Optimus Prime transforms. teehee

Anyway, Farhad, there is some relation. The original voice of the first season Optimus Prime is doing Prime's voice again. Spike and Sparkplug are character names.

I'm pretty sure this will be a good summer popcorn movie. If I really want good sci-fi I'll watch Children of Men again.

Yup, agree with ya InvaderSil. This could actually turn out to be a good action movie.
Unlike - X-Men (I. II. III.), Superman, 300, Sin City, and the list goes on, and on.
But yes, they are over designed. They're almost as shiny as the robots in the Power Rangers Movie (yes, I watched it - so what!? )

This looks like a very promising popcorn-munching summer boom-boom flick. I have to agree that the robots look over-designed, but I'll bet they did lots of tests and the more complicated designs probably look better in motion.

Just looking for clarification here. Are you actually saying that those movies are not good action movies? I mean, Xmen 3 was ass in all kinds of ways but the rest were really good movies in my opinion.

I disagree with most posts above. When I think transformers I think the crap ass saturday morning animation. This actually looks to be wild thrill ride. A popcorn munching, suspension of belief, thin plot and characters, but insane CG summer blockbuster. It is what it is.
for those of you who HATE MICHAEL FUCKING BAY, you've got to check out this short film called aptly enough. KILLING MICHAEL BAY, it's from a director (John McGrath) I edited a film for.

The movie is fuckin FUNNY !

I am SO looking forward to this movie. I have never seen the series or films or whatever I am supposed to know them from, so I don't care if it fits it's legacy. I just want to see some BOOM on the screen and that's what Michael Bay is good for.
