This is commercially available without a license

So...apparently, from America's heartland, Cleveland, Ohio---you can get, for $1600, this flame thrower---with all the accessories (napalm additive, spare tips, CO2 tank).

Their suggested uses?

"-Agricultural controlled burns and ground-clearing
-Clearing brush, snow and ice
-Incinerating weeds and pesky insects
-Pyrotechnic events and movie props
-Lighting that 4th of July bonfire"

Really must run out and get one of these...

Flamethrowers aren't considered weapons and are legal to own, though against the Geneva convention to use on people. Really, though, they aren't considered weapons because they aren't very useful as weapons (compared to say, a shotgun or rifle or pistol or a even a bow) unless you happen to have a guy with a machine gun in a pillbox who is in your way, they're not terribly useful.

I'm pretty sure the Founding Fathers intended that all american citizens have one of these. And that teachers be required to carry them.. you know, in case.
