It might be a little hard for them to applaud a guy who told them multiple times that if they investigate his crimes he'll shut the government down. (I suppose those actions don't strike you as the behaviour of a guilty man.)

Not clapping had nothing to do with people not supporting issues.
They are not blindly clapping to things they know are lies. These are the people that are NOT SHEEP. They actually know a bold-faced lie when they hear it. Trump is mixing up the truth on purpose, and he's not fooling people - well, maybe he's fooling you.
