The IT Crowd (U.S. version) Unaired Pilot

Jaacesays...

It's like Moss has entered Bizarro world and everyone is American and unfunny to boot. Watch the original BBC version. There is a reason why this one is unaired. They should have at least had a different plot for the first episode or left all the funny bits in instead of cutting them. Upvote only for my comment warning and Moss.

That is all.

The guy from Community is completely miscast in the place of the funny Irishman. Replace funny looking, nerdy Irishman with 6 foot 4 handsome and muscular American in role of IT nerd - what a stupid idea.

It completely baffles me why the US can't handle watching the original shows from other countries rather than having to have EVERYTHING changed just so it's in American accents to make them feel more 'comfortable'.

The best way to continue having the US having an inflated image of itself is to never expose it to things from outside.

After watching the first 3 season of the original IT crowd, this americanized version doesnt seem as funny. The laugh track is annoying, or even if it is filmed in front of a life studio audiance theyre annoying.

Im guessin the main reason is alot of the british humor would go over some peoples head, so they make it into American humor. And they dont censor stuff on the original show, which is whats even more charming about it.

I think Ill pass on the american version. Moss doesnt feel right without the proper Roy (Chris O'Dowd).
