And 640x480 support made it look outstanding. I still have access to an old Win98 box that can play it.

This game was exceptional. Wing Commander: Privateer was also a great dogfight game, and by far the best in the WC series.

The first time I played it --at least a decade ago-- I played that thing for 28 hours straight. I got as far as the Kill The Emperor episode before I just couldn't stay awake. And that was without any coffee. Great game.

Easily the best in the X-Wing/Tie series of space combat sims! Would love to see a new release using the graphical power of today's dx10 cards...
