I can't visualize what you described newtboy. I think I need a diagram.

Funny that when he loops his finger all the way around to prove it's not attached to anything, his finger is looping around the outside of all the cards, not the floating card.

Think of a two armed hinge like on a swing arm metal desk lamp…but made of thin plastic strips that fold completely flat. Gravity pulls it out and folds it back in.
