Wolandsays...Brilliant!
daxgazsays...yeah, that was awesome. I love it when someone puts a ton of effort in to something that is a couple of minutes of entertainment for us on the internet

Loved it. So, he was playing beethoven backwards, and then running the movie backwards to make it forward. It sounds great - but where you really notice it is that the sustain from the key-press comes before the note, and then abruptly cuts off. That's why it still sounds funny.
Raytracesays...i wanna know what it sounds like played forwards.
bloodymariosays...> i wanna know what it sounds like played forwards.
That's easy, just save and play the clip backwards
karaidlsays...Know what's weird? This is the second time ROSENCRANTZ has favorited one of my posts, but not upvoted it. Know what's weirder? That I noticed that.
qruelsays...someone was playing piano ? who was the camera hog in the background ?
xxovercastxxsays...could have done without the prop comedian

I hate to be a douche, but what's with the 'let's explain the obvious'? Do you think the average sifter is a moron?
cheesemoosays...Not everyone plays the piano, spoco. I've no idea what a sustain is.

It wasn't so much the mention of sustain, it was the 'he was playing it backwards and then playing the movie backwards... etc.'
It wasn't as if it was a reply to someone asking how it was done, it was just a case of "I'm going to assume people can't figure this out, even though it's pretty darn clear from many things from the video, including the title"
Fjnbksays...The sustain is the pedal that lets you let go of keys and still have them sound. That lets you play more notes.

And yet you just were! How you must loathe yourself.

I suppose it is obvious, but it never dawned on me why backwards music sounds weird- even if the notes are going the right direction. That's all, just sharing my own private epiphany
atarasays...The guy in the background was distracting and a bit obnoxious, but the piano player was brilliant.
antonyesays...The guy in the background helps you to understand that this video was actually being played backwards, rather than it just sounding like a weird rendition, imo.
grevssays...actually you were a douche because everyone here at my work thought he was playing the piano forward, and yet in reverse it sounded the same. so dag explained it to 6 people here who were otherwise confused by the title
gargoylesays...Not Beethoven, but Mozart.
karaidlsays...Really? I just copied from the source... you'd think they'd know what song they're playing.
batmanuelsays...Sort of sounds like Fur Elise by Beethoven, it sounds much better played forwards.
arrendeksays...It was Fur Elise by Beethoven.
deathcowsays...Beethovens lyrics suck
choggiesays...Yeah, what is a Fur Lease anyhow, zat like renting a tux???
messengersays...Twinkle Twinkle/The Alphabet Song/Baa Baa Black Sheep at the beginning was Mozart.
Deanosays...*bravo
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Bravo) - requested by Deano.
karaidlsays...*kill
siftbotsays...Permanently discarding this video - kill requested by submitter karaidl.
