Skier Buried In An Avalanche

One of the scarier videos yet. Simply unbelievable to see it from his perspective. About 5 minutes of being buried under several feet of snow.

It seems his glove came off right before he went completely under and stayed right above where he was. Otherwise, they might have found him hours later.

Also, the video is quite fortunate that his camera ended up facing straight up.

Man that was scary. I always figured that even though you've lost orientation, you can sorta blindly fling your arms to clear the snow in front of you, take off your board, and try to go somewhere and see if you see the surface.

Just seeing how his hands were pretty much immobile the whole time, I now realize taking your board is pretty much impossible. Despite that trying to move yourself in boarding boots in soft deep snow is impossible, i still used to be optimistic, but seeing as to how he couldn't even move his hands... yeah there's no chance.

I'm genuinely hoping at the very least the microphone made the screams so chilling, and not the fact his face was covered in snow. I would at least want to die screaming at the top of my lungs & hear my screams and not that muffled noise.

Real scary.

I remember being buried alive by the snow plow as a kid (badly placed, tiny snow cave). It was a horrible experience, though I could move just enough to dig my way out (which took a while). The panic set in pretty soon, though after a while my mind cooled down enough for me to think. Still, it was nothing compared to this.
