Are you serious?
pipp3355agreed rhesus. this is fake as my third testicle, but still pretty funny

and the large weight on the back of his chair...
ObsidianStormYeah - no contact.
Fail.
AnimalsForCrackerssays...Too little frames(between :07-:08) for me to tell.
PaybackThat's not the way an arm wrestle is supposed to finish?
13439says...Just the other day, I heard a groan that sounded just like the one at 00:03.
It was in a public restroom.
I left.

It's a coat, observe it on the floor, can't call that a large weight personally but i don't think this is real either.
quantumushroomThe whole thing is CGI. Its merits have now been debated here at the sift for longer than it took to "film" it.
deathcowthis whole thing is an iMovie macro called "fighting Russian arm-wrestlers" you can dress up any home video with it
quantumushroom^ My entrance good, his was better.
StukaFoxsays...I'd say this was fake, but I've actually known Russians, so I can't be so sure.
iauiI don't think there's enough information to tell if it's real or fake. And which parts are 'real' or 'fake'. To me, the first hit definitely looks real, and though the second hit 'feels' real, there is a 'missed frame' where the hit would have actually taken place. In the frame before the 'missed frame' I think you can see that his arm isn't fully extended towards the man, and that there is therefore more travel space for the arm to successfully make it to the other man's face and cause the reaction.
Also, it's possible that the sore loser was somewhat expecting the man to hit him back and so tried to dodge and in so doing flung his chair back. I mean, I've never had someone attempt to punch me while I was in a chair, but I've definitely fallen out of a chair backwards and certainly didn't need a weight attached to it.
With my analysis I would err on the side of the situation and outcome being real; however, as I said, I don't think there's enough information to claim either case definitively.
pipp3355yet another classic videosift 'real or fake' debate... brought to you today by the letter 'D' and the number '3' with thanks to our sponsors from iMovie.
RyjkyjThe man on the left is quite obviously using the Kyogen Ryu School's "Fist of the Heavenly Wind" technique. An altogether rare but not-unheard-of maneuver. I'm surprised that I seem to be the only one who's picked up on this.
BigboomerEver wave your hand quickly in front of a shitty cell phone camera (like this video) ? Notice the motion isnt fluid and clean, its jerky and your hand skips along.
When you punch someone, your going for speed / strength, not slow enough your camera can pick it up for youtube.
jwrayThe video frame rate is not fast enough to capture the exact moment of contact.
