Psycho-Bully Toronto Cop Goes "Off The Chart Ballistic".

Great...apparently Canadian officers are taking lessons from American officers. Now they're ready to arrest you for reporting their aggression and damage to private property, or for being intimidated by multiple angry armed men beating on your car with metal inplements.
"Off The Chart Ballistic" is clearly objective...but to a Canadian, I guess, this qualifies.

What douchebags. He clearly didn't want to 'help', he wanted the guy out of the car so he could arrest him, or at least man handle him.
Every day there's more evidence that the cops are not acting as law enforcement, but are more and more just a gang of angry, power tripping morons that seem to always lose their cool if you question their actions in any way.
It's disgusting that these daily videos of cops power tripping and abusing citizens have gotten so ubiquitous that I'm at the point where I look forward to the day when someone gets to shoot a cop in self defense, on camera, and not only is not convicted, but isn't even prosecuted because it's so clearly self defense. Maybe then cops will realize they aren't some premier class of citizen with immunity and impunity for their actions.

American Cops are trained to "keep control of the situation at all times!", which I can understand, however the only tool they're given to do that with is a fascist attitude. Imagine if they were given training for negotiation and communication psychology?

FYI Toronto is not technically in Canada.

It's a suburb of Detroit that you guys left lying around so we snatched it while you were over in Korea.

We are TOTALLY Ok if you take it back.

Mordhausjokingly says...

Why would we want more of Detroit? You guys can have the rest of the city if you want it.

The 911 guy was even more childish then the original cops.

Bipolar too as he was constantly switching from pretending to help to anger.

Over the top response to a probable troll refusing to show id which we did not get to see.

Bruti79says...

Unfortunately, unless it has changed, in Ontario if the police pull over your vehicle and ask for your id, you have to give it to them. I believe that's the law, but it may have changed.

The camera holding guy even declares in the video that the driver had identified himself, but the office insisted on seeing papers. He also states he has that on video, but from his youtube channel he never uploaded that.

If you are driving on the road, the police can demand to see proof that you can legally drive(your driver's license) and proof your vehicle is insured/registered(your registration). This is not onerous or evil. Vehicle accidents are the number 1 cause of premature death in our country.

Making sure that people that are driving on them know what they are doing and have at least some degree of insurance in case of an accident is a social contract the public has readily agreed to. The guy recording here, from his other youtube clips, is a 'freemen' and thus believes that he isn't bound by the social contract the rest of us have agreed to. That's why we hire police officers, so they can explain to the camera dude that he IS in fact bound by our social contract if he expects drive on our roads. The police are allowed to use force to put him in front of judge if necessary.

The only thing I see wrong in the video is a guy who believes the law doesn't apply to him.

If the guy filming was the one driving, you would have a point, but he wasn't.
Because he's just a passenger, does the law in Canada still require him to show his papers?
More important, does the law require him to leave the car and open himself up to abuse, arrest, search, etc because an officer directed him to?

From what he had said, it was the driver that refused to show their papers. In that case the driver was lucky to still be in the car the whole time.

The guy filming from the passenger side maybe should have been pulled out when he claimed to be a "peace officer". His name is Robert Menard, and the legal system is pretty familiar with his scamming other people already.

The article above notes "Freemen have been trying to form their own “corps of peace officers.” In addition to Menard being mentioned by name in the article, his efforts to form his own police force is further documented by himself in the youtube channel this video comes from.

Good info. Thanks.

I don't know Canadian law, but here in the US, giving your name and date of birth is "identifying yourself", but when driving you must present a license if requested, and proof of insurance. It seemed like they had some issue with presenting the papers.
You're quite right by US law, when he improperly claimed to be a 'peace officer', he was technically 'impersonating law enforcement' and that's an arrest able crime....BUT they actually SAID they wanted to arrest him for calling 911 when emergency vehicles were already there, not for impersonating a peace officer....that's ridiculous and abusive and also quite 'douchebaggy', and also likely makes the cop a liar since I don't think there is any such law denying access to 911 if emergency vehicles are present.

Sorry, he lost me when he said "we're all human beings, we deserve dignity", because douchebag power trippers with a badge don't deserve dignity, they deserve a powerful shaming and a lawsuit if they injure you in any way during their power trip. The same goes for power tripping 'freemen', 'sovereign citizens', fake 'peace officers', and 'detaxers'.
It always makes me laugh that they use so many public systems to try to 'prove' that the public systems both aren't legal and don't apply to them. For instance, if they don't have to pay for road tax because they aren't under the jurisdiction of or in league with the government, aren't they guilty of both trespass for being on what they claim is private land (because no government=no public land) AND guilty of theft for using the 'private' roadways without paying the owners?
Also, if they aren't under the jurisdiction of the police, and they have no authority, why was he CALLING THE POLICE FOR HELP?!? ...and why are they arguing in court about the legality of the court....Just duh, Robert.
