as much as i hate police violence, a taser aint gonna hurt a young boy at all. Probably still needs to be whipped after you taser him.

Your trolling style needs work. You should try misspelling more stuff, or ranting on about tangential crap.

E for Effort though.

I don't know what makes you so sure that Tasers won't hurt a young boy. Over 351 people in the U.S. alone have died after being shocked by Tasers. Now I know that other factors could have contributed to those deaths in some cases (drug overdoses, heart conditions, etc.), but that doesn't mean that Tasers are in no way dangerous to young children.

Tasers are supposed to be used as an alternative to firearms, i.e., only when a situation calls for potentially lethal force. Unless that kid had a deadly weapon, there is no way that he should have even been tasered in the first place. Two grown men couldn't subdue an unarmed 10 yr old boy without using a Taser? If that's the case, then they shouldn't be cops in the first place.

My cop buddy just had to do his taser certification (where they zap you just to show you what you are doing to people), and he still holds that he would rather be shot by a real bullet (which he has been as well) than tased. So while the damage done physically by a taser is tame compared to a firearm, physical pain isn't the only damage done by violence. Now none of us were there to see this kid; who knows if he was putting himself or other people at risk as it happened. Certainly, though, a taser is a real escalation over a good wrestle.

I believe anyone who thinks tazing a 10 year old girl or boy is be it a cop or the first poster, should be tazed till they bed for mercy, thats just a really stupid acceptance to have. Non the less I think one of the issues of this story is that two or more grow adult officers could not subdue a 10 year old. Pick the fucker up by the arm or leg if ya have to , Police are a bump of pansies now it seems, all power tripping and no thinking. taze first ask question later.

Lots of judgment being tossed around and yet we're still missing a huge piece of information. Just WHAT was the child doing that made him "out of control"? If he was holding a weapon of some kind, and threatening people then who's to say the taz wasn't warranted? I grant you there are a VERY few circumstances when 2 grown men would ever ever have to use a taz on a 10yr old kid, but at this point this dumb report is only for shock value. Until you get the rest of the information such as why the officers did this, the whole report has no purpose other than to shock the public and get ratings. Idiot journalism.

^ How is it bad journalism? It's news. It happened. They reported it. When a 10 yr old gets slapped and tased by 2 cops that's news. No one is denying those facts. This is a local channel btw, how are they supposed to not report it? They gave all the facts that they had. There is an investigation now, they said as much.

He was "out of control" and "refused to obey commands". So they tased him.
If there was any weapon the child had I am sure someone, at least the cops who did the tasing, would have mentioned it.

Only because ALL journalism is BAD journalism. NO ONE ELSE NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS STORY EXCEPT THOSE INVOLVED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY. Period. All we can do from our vantage point is pass pre-judicial judgements. No good can come of it. In fact, by training ourselves to continually pass judgements on situations we have no knowledge of, we are primed to do the same when a situation does arise in which we are personally involved. Same goes for virtually every other story ever seen on TV. TURN OFF THE TUBE for crying out loud.

So... the kid has had the cops called on him multiple times? Why hasn't he been taken out of day care? If our kid (5 yo) had done something or was acting out to the point where the cops needed to be called, I'm sure we wouldn't be allowed to bring her back. Not only that, why weren't the parents called first? Blah, makes no sense.

That's nice. You probably heard that on the news too, because that's not true either.
