K0MMIEsays...I think Qualm bought a Jaguar, look at how jaded he is, he downvoted so quick his brain must use 64-bits of processing might!
Deanosays...As a Jaguar owner I was very pleased with it. Cybermorph was alot of fun and Doom was better than on the Playstation.
The only problem was Atari were a woefully underpowered and amateurish outfit. The last game I got was Tempest 2000 - what a swansong!

That's not very nice.
FWIW I meant to upvote.
MarineGunrocksays...It's ok, qualm, Shit happens.
moodoniasays...That was Ataris track record, technically superior products, totally inferior marketing.
Despite having more bells and whistles than their immediate rivals many fine Atari products sold in handfuls and died a slow and quiet death. Ever heard of the Falcon? Exactly.
callistansays...That, and it was ungodly expensive and had terrible third-party support.
rottenseedsays...Anyone remember the Atari "Lynx"? To me that seemed way ahead of its time.
Rottysays...Star Raiders on the Atari 800 was awesome back then.
djsunkidsays...Tempest 2000 FTW! Jeff Minter's greatest game!
moodoniasays...I've had dozens of computers, but its thinking of the Ataris that sends me to my happy place. I had Star Raiders for the 800 too, so many happy hours I dont know how it was elsewhere, but I lived in Ireland and it was so tough as a kid to find games, everthing was Commodore 64 and ZXSpectrum. When you found a Star raiders, Gauntlet or Bruce Lee, it would provide months of repetitive strain inducing gameplay. Happy days!
antsays...Aliens vs. Predator!
deathcowsays...I had a friend who drank the Jaguar kool-aid, and he bought the developers kit and the console/PC connection.... never panned out as a career for him though...
lavollsays...didnt the ST or TT have a cd-rom option about 10 years ahead of the pc? and they sold something like 2 of them
Reylorsays...Best part about the "64-bit" Jaguar was the 2 32-bit processors it was using, coupled with their slogan of "Do the math". Oh the irony.
MycroftHomlzsays...Ah man...the lynx. That was awesome.
nibiyabisays...Foreshadowing the fate of the console with those last couple seconds?
