As an American who has been living in not the USA for about 9 years now, here's a thought:

Compare the attitude of these guys with the attitude of your average American visiting anywhere else. This chipper dude's been up since 3:30 chatting up the locals and draping himself in the local flag. Average American abroad is probably busy asking where the nearest McDonalds or Starbucks is, and complaining about how they can't get any help from someone who speaks English (even if they are in, say, London)...

Day two is presumably the sleepy dude in jail for having beaten the excessively cheery dude to death with a flag.

Apparently non of the locals told him it's considered rude, and officially improper to wear the American flag as clothing.
(True enough, most of them probably don't even know themselves. There's a huge lack of knowledge about the 'rules' of the American flag).

I've seen way too much silicone wrapped in that flag to consider "don't wear it!" a rule anymore. The only reason there are no star-spangeled condoms is because the comical risks of it are too obvious.

They should make flag toilet paper for the leftists among us.

To be fair I get annoyed by the quality of English in London and I live here. Half the time I can't communicate with my cab driver. I'm not a huge fan of talking to anyone on the phone as a result.

The Right is purposefully destroying the government by preventing ANY laws being passed and SUING the president !!!?!! Meanwhile they cry about the debt, when it is the right that always drive up the debt, mainly by starting useless wars.
Meanwhile the Teabaggers, owned by the Koch brothers, defeated the public option health plan, under orders. A plan which would have benefited all Americans.

Oh, -I- get it. The locals he found are the ones that sold/suggested that outfit. They're probably tagging along behind waiting to see him get his ass kicked by some RWNJ.

The "locals" who sell that crap are the ones from 7-11.

They are in the middle of their tour of the USA :-)
