Obama "I Won't be Scrambling Jets to Get 29-Year-Old Hacker"

He went on to add, "...because a drone strike is much more cost effective."
chingalerasays...

The very idea of this dingleberry "scrambling a jet" should give civilians the world over pause. The sad state of affairs is that it took so-called intelligent folks 4 years to smell his shit and 1 more of smoke and mirrors to make him the lamest duck imaginable.

MilkmanDansays...

Upvote for bringing this foolishness to attention. Just wish I could downvote Obama's stance on this. Snowden is a hero not a "hacker", and I'm with @chingalera that the very idea of "scrambling the jets" as a possible response brings shame on the US around the world.

Wow, the comments here are just sad. You guys are so desperate to denigrate the man, that you will nitpick his words (who cares what he calls the guy, you knew who he was talking about) and you will call him a liar (guy says he won't be taking a guy out and you imply that he will some other means). I swear if the news reported that Obama had a bagel for breakfast you would bitch about the brand (Chingalera first).

Um, so where did he say "because a drone strike . . . " ? I didn't see or hear him say it. So without that, there's nothing special here.

"hack·er [hak-er] Show IPA
noun
1.
a person or thing that hacks.
2.
Slang. a person who engages in an activity without talent or skill: weekend hackers on the golf course.
3.
Computer Slang.
a.
a computer enthusiast.
b.
a microcomputer user who attempts to gain unauthorized access to proprietary computer systems."

Well, I'd be damned. It seems according to the dictionary he is a hacker. Hmmmm.

The saddest thing to me is that he's not a hack. He has effectively shown himself as the superior politician. He just happens to be the greatest example of why politicians are shit governmental administrators.
I wish we could separate the two concepts.

@shatterdrose: yeah I didn't appreciate the slant on the video comment either, but I'm hopeful most viewers will ignore it or see the posters intended satire as well.

@not_blankfist: "We won't get fooled again", right? God damn does it hurt and enrage to hear that song today. 40+ years and we still don't fucking get it.

Fletchsaid:

He's not a "hacker", you hack.

Perhaps your misplaced malaise would offer more of an effectual response if you could separate the skills and manner of the creature from your pre-conceived notions of how the machine functions. Politics has become spectacle and cult-of-personality and "administrating" government the business of an elite mafiosiesque thugfest.

A "superior" politician, what the hell does that even matter? First and foremost, he's a fucking liar. A seasoned, prolific, professional liar with a hundred leashes around his neck. POTHEAD. Smoked weed all through high-school with the persona of a anarchistic drug pimp.

CHICAGO: Poster-child of corrupt city government from a state up to it's historic ass in graft, collusion with organized crime, and piece of shit law enforcement, not to mention again, the WORST gun laws in the U.S.

If anything I would hope that his administration would finally wake the somnambulant masses up to the idea that the shits' broken to the point of insurrection of a nation, not some fairyland ideal of "Next time, our vote will work for, "Change"....Fuck change, time for seizure of assets public executions!

from a more basic perspective, a major part of the problem is that we have lawyers in positions that require leadership and initiative.

Far from taking initiative, lawyers are trained to fight over the most petty shit, drag things out as a competitive tactic, compulsively lie, and in general, be an impediment to getting things done.

Politics won't change until we understand what needs changing. it ain't just the person, it's the TYPE of person.

articiansays...

Well, you basically said the same thing I did, or at least what I meant by it, and @criticalthud echoed the sentiment.

Mainly I just meant he's the best liar, and that's why he was elected over the other liars, but liars are no good for running a government. Their motivations, behavior and goals are to get elected, and that's it.

My wish that we'd separate the two concepts was basically a desire that people start electing people who can govern, and ignore "politicians". To me, as far back as when I was a kid, it has always been very easy to detect the difference between the two. I know that will never happen, but that's the only solution to the problem outside of tearing the whole system down.
