Starting it out with a big bunch of fear and nervousness was kinda manipulative, though.

I don't think they intended for it to start out that way brain. Pretty sure they were going more for confusion and a little angry at random idiot.

Getting much more over the top than this would be pretty nuts. How far do you go before its to much? More than that, while I love these things I have to wonder how many girls who get a huge proposal event are slightly pissed because if they say no (and be honest it does happen sometimes) then it sorta makes them look pretty bad.
