If the tax cuts are indeed revenue neutral as Rmoney keeps claiming....

THEN WHY THE BLOODY HELL DO YOU WANT TO DO THEM??????

If paying lower taxes will prod the "job creators" into making more jobs, and they aren't going to be paying less tax, then this won't do a dang thing, right?

This is such nonsense, I can't hardly stand it.

I got some mail from Obama today. Don't usually read it. Did today. Saying the same ole thing about Republicans not having a plan, or at least not willing to share it. Here's a paragraph that made me laugh:

"And that's because they've got the same plan they've had for 30 years: Tax cuts, tax cuts, gut a few regulations, and then give some more tax cuts. Tax cuts when times are good. Tax cuts when times are bad. Tax cuts to help you lose a few extra pounds, tax cuts to improve your love life."

Sex sells, ya?

The scary thing about the GOP these days isnt so much its policies, but its lack of policies. I mean , I know that these people democrats and republicans, are living in a soundbite-controlled media world, there really isnt time anywhere between the ads and stupid non.-journalists to actually explain their plans in detail, so they have to come up with small, catchy soundbites to make their case. But it seems that lately, thats all the republicans really have at this point.

I mean, seriously, a 20% general tax cut? What The Fuck is that? Its insane, that's what it is. It's unrealistic hyperbole with no grounds in reality. And they know this. It will obviously never work, and it will just as obviously never be realized. For that to happen, Romney needs to win by like 80% over Obama, and get close to total power, and that would be a much bigger problem than losing when you think about it. All Romney and co does now is spewing shitty soundbites that resonates with the ignorant. He could just as well have promised everyone who votes for him magic underwear and their own planet to rule over.

Yeah, the supposed Romney tax cut seems to be an MC Escher drawing of everything he thinks his electoral coalition might like to hear about a tax plan, no matter how contradictory.

It's a giant tax cut that will put more money into the hands of the rich Job CreatorsTM.

But it won't blow up the deficit, because we're going to eliminate deductions to make up for every penny of lost revenue.

Which deductions? We won't say, but we promise what we do won't result in a shifting of the tax burden onto working and middle class households.

It is only physically possible to keep two of those promises at the same time. Romney would have to break at least one of them -- either his promise to stuff dollars into the pockets of billionaires, his promise not to raise taxes on working- and middle-class people, or his promise not to explode the deficit.

Personally I think the only promise he'd keep is to the rich. He'd raise taxes on the poor and blow up the deficit, just so he can maximize the amount of looting rich people get to do.

But, but, but... the LOOPHOLES.

And the rates... they go DOWN.

And and...

Who is keeping money from moving through the economy? Not the poor. Not the government. They have to spend it as fast as they get it (or faster). We know who is responsible for our economic depression. Lets not pretend the jury is still out on this one. And lets not give more money to the very forces that are holding us back. Wealth SHOULD be redistributed away from those who obviously are too dumb or evil to use it properly and fairly.

Read that and my general response is either "meh" or"makes sense." You're so afraid of any taxes that you can't even begin to evaluate whether they are logical and beneficial or punitive and dangerous. All you see is some Grover Norquist boogey-man.>> ^quantumushroom:

His Majesty's entire presidency has been mostly fiction, sponsored by these same propagandists posing as jouralists.
The new obamacare tax hikes, most of which slam the middle class and small businesses, are quite real.
