CelebrateApathysays...I don't get it. Why is it called the Michael J.Fox show when he's playing a character named Michael Henry and it has nothing to do with his real life other than the Parkinson's?
fritzo9602says...I kind of liked it. I'll give it a chance.
Jaersays...It made me chuckle, I'll give it a shot. Plus Fox was always a favorite of mine.
criticalthudsays...because when you are a legendary hollywood star, putting your name in the title of a tv show is prob a good marketing idea.
after that, it is still fictional comedy that i would imagine draws from the real life experiences of a person with parkinsons.

criticalthudsays...ie: see: "The Cosby Show"
the Huxstables seemed to do ok at avoiding confusion.
griefer_queafersays...Upvote for Marie from Breaking Bad. Though I think she needs to be wearing more PURPLE!!
lucky760says...Looks great. Glad he is able to do it.
Marty McFly is a brilliant star.
CreamKsays...Well, just think about he writers, how could you go and mock a real persons disease, i mean, how can you write a season of direct insults to your boss, right to his face about something the man has endured for decades and finally feels right to start acting again, turning the disease in to profit. Call him "Mike Henry" and the problem is solved; you're ridiculing the character.

dagsays...Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag.(show it anyway)
Will watch.
Mordhaussays...Quite funny looking, sadly I did away with TV a while back.
Fletchsays...Ridicule? Seems exactly the opposite to me. He's not an actor portraying someone "stricken" with Parkinson's. He's an actor with Parkinson's who is playing a normal father/husband/person who has Parkinson's. Parlaying his condition into some comedic effect is no different than Kevin James or Melissa McCartchy or Jimmy Valmer doing the same thing.
It looks like a funny show. Some of you are just over-thinking it, imho.

Paybacksays...If MJF doesn't feel sorry for himself, no one has the right to feel sorry for him.
