It's called "The Late Show", yet they have to bleep out (or blank out in this case) "asshole"? Is it actually on late, or is it on at 6:00 pm or something? Doesn't the US have a watershed period?

It's on at 11:30pm, on broadcast TV, on one of the major networks. Regulations are pretty vague, but likely would not prohibit 'asshole' at that time of night.

In the case of bleeping things out on the Late Show, it's probably just that it is a hugely popular show, and they want to avoid complaints from people with delicate ears.

Yeah, the time I'm watching this show is exactly... never. I don't watch TV and they never played this garbage in Australia when I did watch TV. Why would I assume a late night talk show be a "family show"?

This is the internet. Time doesn't matter here. Kids will see it regardless of when it airs. You say you don't watch TV, nor do I, but you're watching a TV show on the internet, and wondering why some words are bleeped out.

Also, I said I don't watch TV, but I watch "TV shows" all the time, I just don't sit down in front of the TV and channel surf and watch any old crap on the TV. Actually, usually through the internet and I find very few things on the internet are bleeped or censored
