Kramer takes the car past the "E"

Probably my favorite clip of Kramer. Honestly can't believe this hasn't been through the Sift yet!

Usually there's 2 gallons left when the needle gets to E. so depending on what your miles-per-gallon, you can still go for a good distance.

If you run it bone-dry though, there is risk to your fuel pump and fuel injectors - much more costly than gasoline.

not that anyone on the sift would follow Kramer's antics... so this PSA is probably not necessary.

^actually, most vehicles use fuel pumps that use the gasoline as a coolant. Driving with even less than 1/2 a tank causes damage. I started filling up at half a tank instead of 1/4 or E when I learned this after going through 3 pumps in 3 years. This 4th one has lasted 7 years now. Too big a difference to be coincidence.

I don't remember this episode. Which one was this?

Only THE best episode in the entire series! This is the one where Elaine gets Seinfeld a deal at a car dealership because she's dating Puddy. This episode contains some of the most memorable Seinfeld skits, including the "High five" and Costanza getting shafted out of the last donut and a candy bar in a vending machine -- how did you miss it?!
