Sniper007says...Commentary and scripting is nauseating.
lucky760*Quality run.
When I watched this the other night, I stood up, clapped, and cheered, and I was watching all by myself. Quite thrilling to watch.
Granted, this is just a semi-final round, but I'm pretty certain there's never been a female to complete the first stage in America nor Japan.
I had a similar fist-to-the-sky cheering moment in the previous semi-final round where Kevin Bull was used his legs to hang from a ball and stick his upside-down landing.
The American version is getting really great, though I still vastly prefer the Japanese version.
siftbotBoosting this quality contribution up in the Hot Listing - declared quality by lucky760.
Esoogsays...I've been a fan of Ninja Warrior every since watching G4's broadcast of Sasuke. And the American version is best for me on DVR where I can fast forward through the vast amounts of talking...but moments like this are why I watch the show. That was amazing. And it was nice to hear the commentators (who I agree can be scripted and boring) be genuinely surprised and excited too. It was refreshing.

Esoogsays...*Action Pack, *Sports
siftbotInvocations (sports) cannot be called by Esoog because Esoog is not privileged - sorry.
ChaosEngineWow. Hard to watch that and not be inspired. You can see halfway through she's trying to shake the lactic acid out of her forearms and she just keeps going. So impressive.
p.s. here ya go @Esoog

YogiShe was pretty good at that but I think we need to remember that this is a Television show. She was cast in this show, so she's attractive, and she had connections to get an audition. Yes an audition.
Not taking anything away from her athletically but I think you'd be hard pressed to find a girl in the Crossfit competitions who couldn't smash this course pretty handily. It's just that they didn't book the audition.
Still really neat, hope she beats the Vegas one.
Sotto_VoceTitle is a little misleading. She hasn't finished American Ninja Warrior. She finished the Dallas finals course, and qualified for Mt. Midoriyama, the actual final course of the competition, which no one -- man or woman -- has been able to finish in five seasons of this show.
Not to take away from her accomplishment though. That was an awesome display of athleticism.
StuActually that's not how it works at all. You can be a walk on in any city and get a chance to run. They let everyone do it. I did it in Baltimore 2 years ago. No tape, no interview. I signed a waiver, got a number and waited. I think you need to remember not everything is fixed.

YogiWhatever you say, but my point still stands. She's not the greatest athlete that can do this, there are many many women that can do this.
Wait...did they have cameras on you? Were you broadcast? Are you attractive? There are several layers...you can get in line for American Idol, that doesn't mean anything for the actual SHOW.
Like I said, she's there for a reason.

YogiNot certain how legit this site is but it looks real to me.

Scroll down to the American one and it says to send in a tape, sell yourself, make it exciting. Sure seems like it's about the Television show and not the best athletes to me.
spawnflaggerif she doesn't win the show, she could still play Lara Croft if the movie franchise reboots
StuI never sent in a tape. No exciting video for them to show. I walked up, like I said. Were there cameras? Of course. Am I attractive? Of course. Was I broadcast? Of course, it's a tv show. Did I finish and win the money? No I didn't and I'm a DI college athlete.
Your point as usual is useless. There is very specific types of people who can do this. NFL players tried again this year and failed. But I guess they aren't some of the greatest athletes are they? Crossfit? Crossfit is absolute shit especially to use as a standing point for people who you think can do this course.
Your point is anyone can do this. No. They can't and thats why no one has. Why do you go give a try? Maybe you can bore it to death by talking to it.
