I used to engage with @bobknight33 using logic and facts. Whenever I could decisively refute his points he completely ignored my comments. Often he goes back to the same well in the future after I'd conclusively shut his arguments down.

That is not the behaviour of someone interested in any kind of serious debate. That is disingenuous or intentional avoidance of anything that might correct his ignorance. I cannot and will not respect anyone who refuses to even acknowledge the arguments made by the other side. I just meant to point out that, while he has fully supported, excused, even canonized racists, he might not be one, at least not to the extent he appears....if he's been honest in private conversation. I agree with not accepting their usurping common terms and gestures, but I cannot accept ignoring what them mean by them. Just because I don't mean anything racist when I use the OK hand symbol, I'm not going to pretend the white supremacist assholes flashing it behind the black sports announcer wasn't blatantly a racist move. Recognizing their racist intentions is not the same as condoning their racist usurpation of language. Ignoring their racist meaning and usage is condoning it. I will call them out when I think they're being racist, which these people undeniably are. "It's ok to be white" is a slogan used EXCLUSIVELY as a racist taunt, not a factual statement of equality.

That's not true. The "Ok" symbol, number codes, etc have been used for years because they could be used in public without exposing themselves as racists except to other racists who know the code.
