Those are Kauai locals swimming in Queen's bath.

They know what they're doing. Here is another video .

It is now known as Queen's Bath, but it isn't the original. The original one was destroyed by lava in the 80's, so they just renamed the pool of death.

They are definitely locals and skilled swimmers. Others have died during the winter when the surf is routinely high, like in this video.

Yeah, I know people have died there, but I think those kids are regulars. The last kid jumped in just for the heck of it... The father, presumably filming them, didn't seem too worried to me. I think those boys have done that before. Crazy in my book, but maybe not in theirs.

Man, that's ballsy. I live by the sea and one generally accepted wisdom is that it doesn't really matter how well you can swim.

When people do stuff like this and it goes horribly wrong the headlines are along the line of "Person tragically killed in <insert sport name here> accident". When it should be along the lines of "idiot tempting fate pays the price for their stupidity".

That comment would ring a lot truer if you hadn't just called a bunch of people you don't know "fat slobs" in a "gene pool of wimpiness and sarcasm".

Seems there are always "a bunch" of twits who live to spoil the moment for others.

The fat slob bit was only directed at anyone who chooses to sit back and nitpick and not anyone who is simply overweight but upon reflection this was a Very poor choice of words.
