Idiocracy explains Trump voters

Yeah, I can't believe this wasn't sifted already either
Mordhaussays...

I don't think we can lay the ascendance of Trump at the feet of Idiocy. You see, people who are scared and angry of change have a tendency to 'flock' around a possible leader who promises them a return to the good old days. I mean, look at leaders like Mussolini and Hitler, people were suffering from the punitive effects of reparations from WW 1 and flocked to demagogues who promised better days.

This tendency to flock is littered with examples throughout history. The people not scared of change tend to look at those affected by the phenomenon and scold them for being out of their 'flocking minds'.

Yes, I absolutely wrote two paragraphs to get in a pun.

Right wingers have a lower IQ and want a simplified world. They get frustrated when the simpleton they elected, surrounded by Nixons CIA team (including the simpleton's daddy) treat them like the fools they are.
Then they make an even dumber decision. Eventually they will elect a Hitler or such. If that doesn't make them idiots I don't know what would.

As an entertaining sidenote, when Bush lost to Obama, right wing voters (those that were being monitored and expresseed political preference) had a DROP IN TESTOSTERONE.
For them politics is an emotional, tribal event like a pack of apes fighting over power. Idiot is too kind.

It's always nice to label those that don't share the same view as you as idiots.

Flocking to a demagogue who clearly is not capable of solving the problems that need addressing are the actions of idiots.
Being angry at your representatives for not being honest, then backing the least honest person you can find in the country is the act of idiots.
Believing the lies of someone who wrote a book about how to be successful by constantly lying is a thing only done by idiots (I'm also looking in your direction on this one, scientologists).
So I disagree, it's idiocy pure and simple.

The irony is palpable.

Exactly. There have been more than enough examples of it in history.
And thats why I am shocked how opposing politicians and media still treat people like Trump the same way that only paves the way for them exactly like those historical examples show.
They dont offer better solutions, they dont get more honest, they are not less corrupt, they dont listen more to normal people, they are not less hypocritical. They just attack them on the same level as they are.

...Except for Bernie Sanders, who ticks every box in your third paragraph.

Only problem is that he never had a chance because hes too radical in the opposite direction, which pretty much proves what I said in terms of that he doesnt offer better solutions. Hes a dreamer. Admirable, but ultimately a failure, since he doesnt see reality. You cant go in with a crowbar, no matter which side youre from.

That's funny, didn't you just say I believe the lies people tell? ;-)
Bernie is AHEAD of Clinton in newer national polls, and beats her in EVERY POSSIBLE situation...against Trump, Cruz, or Kucinich, while Clinton barely wins against Trump and Cruz, and looses to Kucinich.
"Better solutions" is an opinion. In my opinion, his solutions are FAR better than any others offered by other candidates, and are supported by more people than any other candidates ideas.

You've been had by the media who wants a Clinton VS Trump race. Please note, many of Clinton's biggest donors are media corporations...and it shows in their coverage.
