i dunno. i thought the same thing at first until the slow-mo hit.

the rest of the kids were just sitting there at first cause they thought the same thing, but if you watch closely at the slo-mo, you'll see...

that deck broke pretty fuckin jagged, and the combination of his splits and those wooden death spikes probably caused a significant amount of damage.

besides, if he saw blood, and it soaked through his jeans that fast, there was probably something punctured... his leg or his scrotum... either way i'm sure it was pretty gruesome.

Watch the slow replay at the end. When he hit the ground the skateboard flipped up vertically and he landed on it in a split with all of his downward momentum. I couldn't see it in the full speed replay even after watching the slow one.

It would be like landing on a hand rail made of jagged wood. =X

Yup, the board flipped up and he landed on it so hard it broke in half! Ouch!

The injury probably isn't very traumatic. For starters he can still walk just fine, and judging from the thickness and angle of the board the probability that he'll have a carreer as a castrato is pretty small. He probably just tore up his inner thigh a bit and that's why he's bleeding.
