Hmm... What Would You Do in This Awkward Sitiuation

LadyBugsays...

i have to admit ... i've done that sort of thing twice to my mom when i was about 13-14 ... leaving the mall, i would turn my legs really awkwardly and then yell at her to slow down! *cringes*

dare i say that a man's moral compass is lower than a woman's?? she walked out of the loo quite normally ... he would have seen that had he stuck around!! lol

i can't wait to hear how the men of the sift respond ...

I dare say that the reaction would be similar if the roles were reversed. That's a hell of a thing to decide on the spot, whether you'll be willing to pursue a romantic partnership with someone disabled. Especially on such a random encounter.

I know it sounds cold, but; you don't know the person, you probably won't see them again and it's a lot easier to just get out of there to keep looking. Like it or not, disabilities are not called as such because they're no problem, they require effort.

This was just a human reaction, not an exclusively male one.

Farhad beat me too it. Clearly if you are looking to hook up in a bar, I know guys who have put up with worse, and she was rather attractive from the waist up... So, most nice guys ironically would leave, most want to shag guys would stay.

Oh wow, way to over-analyze a perfectly brilliant and funny prank! We all have a bit of a devil in us, it tickles me when someone pinpoints our common hypocrisies so skillfully. Takes one to know one, eh?

I know women do the same. I have a friend in a wheelchair, he was sitting in his van in a parking lot listening to a CD. Some girl walking by heard the song he was listening to and walked over and started talking to him. She eventually asked him out to a bar, and he accepted. That night, he arrived at the bar before she did, he had just gotten out of his van when she pulled in. She saw him in the wheelchair, turned around and drove away.

The reason I responded to this the way I did, is because this is exactly the kind of man-bashing that goes on without remuneration. I guarantee that if you had the focus of a skit being that women were stupid/shallow/etc there would be people all over it (and so they should!).

Sexual equality swings both ways.
