Enrique Iglesias' voice recorded while lip syncing

Some clever sound engineer left Enrique's mic on while he was singing to a playback on a TV show.

Ahhh isn't it great that we have all this fancy computer stuff going on in the music business? that way we don't have to listen to the real voices of thos no-talent barbie (and ken) dolls...

It would be fun to pull audio tricks and lip sync your own bad track to frame up these "singers". Like the guitar spoofs where he dubs in really bad playing.

But I tend to believe all of these Disney made bullsh-t "artists" like Britney and Enrique are in fact talentless losers who are 99% image generated by corporations that rely on post production and voice tuners and lip syncing. (See: milli vanilli)

Why would any decent singer ever need to lip sync, even on live TV or taped TV. Just sing.

Wow @ all the "fake" calls. Does everyone really not remember this from a few years ago? This is an old recording that was all but confirmed that it was Enrique, but to prove he could carry a tune better than this, he immediately went on Howard Stern and performed live.

It was really him being recorded (though I don't know if this video is really the one that goes with the audio). It was just the situation on stage where he couldn't hear his own voice because the music (lip sync track and all) was so loud.

I'm not sure why these are always so surprising. It's like whistling a tune during a hurricane, or the reason why the deaf often speak the way they do. Part of adjusting vocal pitch is hearing yourself and tuning on the fly. When lip synching (or otherwise not broadcasting vocals like this), you can't hear yourself at all, so you lose the ability to self-tune. Ever see a singer practicing with their finger in their ear? Same thing. I wouldn't be surprised if the same happened to Pavarotti.

That said, it is a bit comical.

The audio quality doesn't change at all when he has his hands cupped around the mic. I'd say that's a pretty good sign it's fake.

That's not really how mic's work, besides his hands aren't really cupped around his mouth, they're holding onto the end of the body of the mic.

But anyway, if you girls want to argue over whether it's his voice or not, go for it. I'm gonna go watch some french game shows
