00Scud00says...Saw the trailer for this earlier this evening when I went to see Deadpool, while I generally won't see films in 3D, I could see a purpose to it in this case.
Enzobluesays...FPS movie where I'm the hero? What took you so long??
jmdsays...This.. this on vr/google cardboard would rock. This looks like the many FPS movies we've seen but on a more hollywood level. And with VR out this year it is right on time.
Hipnoticsays...Upvote for first-person ass-kicking to Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now".
newtboysays...Nice. Reminds me of Hard Boiled from Frank Miller back in the day....but in FPV.
Someone needs to make that movie, Hard Boiled, and maybe Druuna while they're at it. Now THAT would be a good sci fi movie.
antsays...*geek *videogames
It reminds me of Rock's FPS in DOOM movie/film!
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Geek, Videogames) - requested by ant.
Sarzysays...I saw this at TIFF last year. So damn fun. It kind of felt like an insane amalgam of Crank, Hotline Miami, Mirror's Edge, and John Woo. It's almost certainly not for everyone (there were several walkouts when I saw it), but if you can go with its special brand of insanity, it's pretty great. I can't wait to see it again.
00Scud00says...A Druuna movie would be great, but good luck keeping it anything less than an NC-17.

newtboysays.......and? That's the only way it would be good. Every Heavy Metal nerd of the 80's would be twitching with anticipation at the thought.

articiansays...I started re-reading Druuna recently. I hadn't even encountered it/heard about it since I was a kid. Such amazing art, I don't know if they could capture that in a film but I'd be willing to see it. They made a game in 2001 but I didn't play it (looked terrible).

newtboysays...I'll have to look for that game, I never heard about it.
I'm thinking a movie would be great with a Frank Miller treatment, but certainly has it's own style to the art that could easily stand on it's own with any good artistic director.

Bruti79says...I saw it at TiFF as well last year. it was damn exciting and fun to watch. It's definitely not for everyone, but it will have a strong cult following. Some cool cgi mixed with some old school camera tricks.
I would watch this again in a heartbeat. =)
For what it is, the story is damn good.
LiquidDriftsays...Thought the FPS was gimmicky at first, but it really looks like they got creative with it. Bravo!
