Ahh, nothing so satisfying as pinning an adversary to the wall from across the room in Deathmatch. The closest I've gotten since is the rail gun in Fallout 3.

Wow, for some reason I felt like firing up HL2 and episodes last night to play the beginnings and some of my favorite parts, then today this is the first video I see.

The HL2 crossbow fires lengths of rebar which have an electrical current run through them to heat them red-hot while waiting to be fired.

I love that they included a dim-witted AI friendly that wonders into the path of a bolt after it's been fired. *THAT'S* some classic HL2.

Are there even that many bolts available in the campaign???
