articiansays...Mamma croc protecting her home? They leave their eggs to fend for themselves anyway don't they? Regardless, impressive show of reptilian strength!
newtboysays...Actually, I've seen and read that they protect the nest vigorously.

JustSayingsays...Would've been funnier if the guy was riding a bicycle.
oblio70says...Troll the Gator, pay the Toll.
Asmosays...No, much like crocodiles, they will defend against all comers, even much larger males that have little chance of winning against, often well past the point that the eggs have hatched.
And for noting, the bite pressure of the alligator has been measured at 2200 psi, 3rd place in "highest bite strength of any animal in the world" competition behind the nile croc (5000 psi) and the saltwater croc (7000 odd psi).
Does the guy in the vid really need any more reasons to leave the poor fucking thing alone... \= )

gorillamansays...According to Herodotus, the way to catch a crocodile is this. First you bait a hook with pork and float it in the water. Then you get a live pig and beat it with sticks. The pig's squealing will attract the crocodile, which will gulp down the pork as an appetiser. Then you simply haul it onto land, slap mud in its eyes to disable it and it's easily enough dispatched.
Paybacksays...Are we sure that's a truck? Looks an awful lot like one of those off road golf carts, I believe the John Deere one is called a "Gator".
**edit, nm, googled "4x4 XE" (fender badge) and it's a Nissan so it's not a Gator. Not a truck either, but not a Gator.
Crosswordssays...Gators are relatively chill compared to crocs, so it was either protecting a nest or felt threatened by this dinkus getting to close to it in his truck.
