Facebook Password Wanted by Employers, Colleges -- TYT

YouTube Description:

Via Daily Tech: "...Some government job seekers and student-athletes have complained that the government agency or college in which they're applying has asked for access to their Facebook pages among other social networking sites. Last year, current employees and applicants to the Maryland Department of Corrections were asked to surrender their emails and passwords in order for employers to access their Facebook pages...".
Ana Kasparian and Cenk Uygur break it down.

It's amazing to me the gall of some people in power that they'll want to know everything and if you don't give it to them they'll punish you. I guess we're all just slaves to them and they think we owe them everything.

Being born and grew up in the East Block for 18 years I can totally relate to this. There was no privacy what so ever, hell, we didn't even knew existed. But then the VHS was invented and smuggled into the country. The whole world was then revealed to us, but especially America, and the amazement of what real life is in fact (fact at that time) ,the liberties and possibilities the western/capitalist country's enjoy.
Later on we fought for freedom, some paid with their lives for this dream. For us who live today is nothing left to dream of, being born in a nightmare, dreaming of a wonderful world only get back into an even darker nightmare. Faith:1 - us:0 ...hands down.
For me some might find reasons for employers/officials to demand this. To me, are just excuses to rip of your soul. We live in a socio-psychopath world today, and things will get even worse.

Never had, never will have, a Facebook page. Just don't see the point in joining something I know will just be a useless waste of my daily life. People I care about know my email, my cell number. Everyone else can kiss my ass.

The Sift is bad enough, thank you very much.
