Desert Eagle .50 with slow motion shockwave

Videosift needs a third Desert Eagle video to complete the trilogy. This one has a sweet slow motion view of the shockwave created by the giant 50 cal round.

I call BS. This must be fun with photoshop or something. I can't believe a normal camera can catch any of this, let alone the color involved, plus there is this BS at "1/4" speed that you can count the frames. I'm sorry, but if each frame is 1/15th of a second there is NO WAY a 50 cal projectile is travelling for 4 frames.

Seems fake to me. at 0:58. I don't think a video camera would catch the muzzle flash in overcast daylight.

upvote for cool-looking and all, but yeah, joe's right.

the footage has been, let's say, augmented. zero doubt. for starters, freezeframe a moment of what they thought would be a realistic-enough sound barrier 'cone' visual...

For those who think it is fake... I've never fired one, and I am by no means an expert but... my understanding is that the supersonic velocity of the 50cal round shapes the muzzle flash. The camera's speed may not be fast enough to captures it per say, but the blooming effect on the sensor of the camerea would essentially allow it to still be picked up...like if you look at something bright and then close your eyes...you can still see it.

I also checked several other Desert Eagle videos and they all contain to some degree, a similar effect, including the following one with some really good slow motion from different angles.

I'm not saying it's real, but since it is so cool...I choose to believe it.
